We are a family owned textile and clothing studio exploring the relationship between land, fiber, and craft. Inspired by the agricultural and manufacturing traditions of wool producing regions, we focus on the journey from pasture and flock to fiber, mill, and maker. This interconnected system has shaped rural communities and produced some of the world's most enduring textiles. Working with natural fibers, historic and emerging mills, and small scale manufacturers, we seek to preserve and celebrate the knowledge embedded within regional wool systems. Guided by a belief in material integrity and stewardship, we create garments and goods that connect people to the origins of what they wear while honoring the landscapes, craftspeople, and industries that make it possible. Drawing on more than sixteen years of experience building and operating The Blackbird, a hospitality and design driven business rooted in craftsmanship, community, and care, we bring the same commitment to everything we create.
